Laurie Cardoza, Colombia S. America - World Venture Ministry
Focus: Evangelism and Disciple-making
Laurie Cardoza accepted Christ as Savior at age five after her mother presented the Gospel message. Since then she has continued to grow in her knowledge of and love for the Lord Jesus! Laurie has felt a gentle nudge toward the mission field for a number of years. After visiting Colombia in 2004 she sensed God’s call on her life to make much of Jesus Christ among the nations of South America and in particular the people of Colombia. God has given Laurie gifts of shepherding, faith and administration and she feels these gifts will hopefully help care for and love on children who used to live on the streets of Medellin through a ministry of World Venture called Open Arms Foundation. World Venture is a mission network of passionate people connected in the common cause of seeing the Great Commission fulfilled. World Venture sends Christian workers into over 70 countries throughout the world! MCC is proud to be associated with Laurie Cardoza in the proclamation of the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the dear folk of Colombia! Website: www.worldventure.com
Tony Cole, Tubingen Germany with CMF International Ministry
Focus: International Campus Ministry focusing on disciple-making
Tony is a mountain-loving, story-collecting, coffee-drinking discipleship enthusiast from Idaho. He is following God’s call on his life to love the broken and encourage the meaning-seekers in the world. This has led him to pursue ministry among the post-Christian culture of western Germany, putting to work his studies and life experiences for a unique opportunity to live and share the Gospel. On an “off” day, you will either find him sipping on an Americano in a coffee shop and reading about theology and spiritual formation, or figuring some way to go up into the mountains. On an “on” day, he’ll be figuring out ways to mobilize people to fight injustice and further encounter Christ in this world. By joining the team of campus ministers working at the University of Tubingen, Tony has an opportunity to mix some of his strongest passions and gifts for the sake of the Kingdom and be a representative of Jesus and His Church in a country where Christianity is seen as irrelevant and outdated. This is a unique time and unique opportunity to influence some of the future leaders of the world who are gathering in Germany. Tony seeks to join God’s movement and mission in this special way!
Milwaukie Christian Church is filled with great joy to be able to partner with Tony Cole, a dear servant in the advancement of the Kingdom of Christ in Germany and beyond! Website: www.cmfi.org

With our help, our West African Project partners continue to disciple the Bible-less, mobilizing God's people to provide enduring access to God's Word. Every person on earth needs to have a Bible they can understand. Jesus said that people cannot truly live except by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. The lives of people in West Africa are being transformed by the love of God through the glorious and unique revelation of Jesus Christ delivered to humankind in the pages of Holy Scripture!
Milwaukie Christian Church is delighted to support our partners in this translation and literacy work.

Milwaukie Christian Church gathers together to worship the Lord in the splendor of His holiness (Psalm 96); so that we may grow together in the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ (2 Corinthians 4); so that me may go forth together declaring His glory among the nations, His marvelous deed among all peoples (Psalm 96). God uses His Church and His Word empowered by His Holy Spirit to see unbelieving people become committed followers of Jesus Christ.
We, as Christians, have been given the command to share His wonderful story of reconciliation with the world! (2 Corinthians 5:14-6:2) …gathering to glorify God …growing in the love of Jesus …going into all the world calling unbelievers to be reconciled to Christ We have been given the good news of Jesus; the good news of his joy and gladness and hope and deliverance and it must be shared.
“The Lord reigns; let the earth rejoice; let the many coastlands be glad” (Psalm 97).
“Let the peoples praise thee, O God; let all the peoples praise thee! Let the nations be glad and sing for joy” (Psalm 67).
